  • Keep your shoulders back and down.
  • Let your arms hang loose.
  • Forearms should be relax and parallel to the ground.
  • Fists should be kept unclenched.
  • Soften your face.
  • Jaw is loose.
  • Don’t furrow your brow.
  • NO SQUINTING!

Dang that’s a lot to remember all at once. But if you do all those things, you will run more calmly and comfortably. Learning to run relaxed is an important component of becoming a better, faster and stronger runner. You don’t want your performance to suffer because you’re all tense. So relax…

    A definite yea for sunglasses! I have prescription sunglasses that have all the extra bells, whistles, and protections added to them and wear them all of the time! Now if I could get a sweat band for the bridge of my nose! Lol!

    I find my run is so much better if I do try and just relax and clear my head. It isn’t easy to do but I am working on it. Running should be a stress reducer not a stress maker. The sun glasses look very cool.

    I don’t typically wear sunglasses when I run, but it’s only because I don’t have a good pair to run in. But…I just bought a pair and took advantage of the discount. I’ ll let you know how I like them.
